1062 /o/    19, 22, 23b, 24a imageMexico, 1864-66, Eagle issue, Guanajuato. 1st Period: two unused (1r & 2r), 21 used and four covers (one a nice 1r from Leon), includes three conspicuous plate varieties where portions of the design did not print (another duplicate), there is a ½r with negative cancel, possibly La Luz which is unfortunately faulty, nice 4r with pinwheel mute of Leon, 12 other are used from sub-offices (Leon, Silao, Yrapuato), many are Very Fine. 1063 o/    20/25a imageMexico, 1864-66, Eagle issue, Guanajuato. 2nd Period collection of 29 stamps and 3 covers, includes nice examples of the ½r 148-1864, 4r 118-1864 and 8r 148-1864, a 1r 118-1864 has a scarce (this issue) oval Guanajuato (Schatzkes 468A, illustrated in Pietsch), there are nine different Leon sub-numbers, a 1r 148-1864 sub 56 Piedra Gorda (Schatzkes 511), five subs from Silao including a 1r 148-1864 without sub-number tied to cover (crease), three different Yrapuato subs include the 2r without sub-number, F.-V.F. Follansbee No. 23-27.
