221 c 314/611 Schermack Ty. III perforations on cover, an impressive assemblage of 140 covers (a few are only partial covers or fronts) all of which have been franked with Schermack Ty. III perforated issues, with a marvelous range of not only issues involved, but usages as well, the vast majority have single stamp frankings, although there are a few multiple frankings and combination frankings, we note a prominence of advertising covers, some of which are rather attractive; while most of the frankings are of the more "common" issues, there is no lack of better stamps on cover; the following is a "census" of the Scott numbers found in this collection and the total number of covers of each number: #314 (4), 320 (2), 320a (7), 343 (6), 344 (10), 368 (1), 383 (4), 384 (8), 408 (9), 409 (42), 481 (8), 482 (10), 483 (5), 484 (2), 531 (3), 532 (1), 533 (1), 534 (5), 534A (2), 534B (1), 535 (4), 577 (4) and 611 (1); condition varies, but the great majority are fine-very fine; there was a time such covers were considered common in these quantities, but today to find a large offering such as this is quite an opportunity for the specialist collector or dealer; ex-Agris. $6,300.00+

222 ogc 343V/409V #343V/409V, Interesting mounted specialized imperforate coil collection (plus some unmounted items), a scarce group of 39 pairs, strips of four and one strip of twenty, the majority are endwise coils and the pairs are typically paste-up pairs, the strips of four include some with lines and some paste-ups, and the strip of twenty (creased for display) is of #409V, the vast majority are 1c and 2c denomination stamps, although we note a 5c vertical paste-up pair (#347V), some duplication, o.g., some n.h., a few small flaws, mostly fine-very fine or better; seven covers are included which are quite elusive; the beginnings of a worthwhile collection of these difficult coils; ex-Agris.
