The October 2009 Collector's Series Sale - October 14-15, 2009

Spink Shreves announces our Fall Collector’s Series Sale – which are always anticipated by collectors and dealers alike for the variety and desirability of the material being offered. This exciting auction features numerous name collections and estates – all being offered without reserve such as:

  • The Daniel A. Brouillette Collection of New York City Postal History – A fascinating array of usages including stampless covers, Civil War patriotics, rare cancellations, etc., as well as valuable collection lots.
  • The Robert B. Geary Collection of United States Vending & Affixing Machine Perforations – One of the largest and most valuable collections to come on the auction market in quite some time, including many seldom seen rarities.
  • The Estate of Robert W. Reisner – An exceptionally strong collection of premium quality mint United States postage stamps, virtually all of which are accompanied by certificates. Also from the Reisner collection, a comprehensive collection of Match & Medicine Revenue Stamps of the United States and features a valuable final collection balance. Plus, a solid collection of Spain featuring several seldom seen stamps and several specialized large lot collections offered intact.
  • The Estate of John Stoner – Most of the extraordinary quality used United States postage stamps featured in the auction come from this gentleman’s impressive collection. Mr. Stoner had a penchant for stamps with exceptional eye appeal.
