1927 og S.G. #1/74b S.G. #1/74b, The specialized collection balance of 68 stamps neatly arranged by Stanley Gibbons numbers on handmade pages, 1892-98, begins with a complete set of the 1892 non-surcharged issues, and an "unsevered" pair of the 1893 1/2p red surcharge on 1p (a pair which was not completely severed in the production process), followed by a valuable representation of eleven different Old Calabar provisional surcharges, ending with a specialized group of the 1894-97 Victoria issues, collected by shades and perforation varieties, o.g., couple of small faults noted, but large majority are fine or better; a great start to this fascinating country; some better stamps signed; catalogs in excess of £4,500 by Stanley Gibbons (Scott #1/63). 1933 ogbl S.G. #55a imageS.G. #55a, 1932 1/2p Landing of Captain Cook, mixed perforation 13x14x13x13, a most interesting left sheet-margin block of four, which shows a double row of perforations at left, originally perforated 13 all around, although the perforations at left were too strongly shifted (leaving an extra-wide margin), so the P.O. "reperforated" the left margin (closer) to the design in size 14 perforations, resulting in the highly collectable mixed perforation variety, o.g., couple of minor tropical tone spots, fine-very fine (Scott #53a var.).
