698 c U.S. Post Offices in Shanghai correspondence of the E.I. du Pont de Nemours Export Co., fifteen huge covers (12 1/2" x 10") sent from their office in Shanghai to their office in New York, 1920-22, all franked with various Washington-Franklin stamps up to the 20c value, making up rates from 16c to 86c, tied by various U.S. Post Offices in China cancels, note some stamps with perfins, six covers are registered, some interesting markings including one with violet "U.S. Customs/Free of Duty" in oval, some cover faults as expected on such large commercial covers, fine appearance; a most unusual and very scarce group. Est. 400-500
