904 O S.G. #F1 imageS.G. #F1, 1937 12/6 Postal-Fiscal inscribed "REVENUE" at each side, tied on piece with "St. Georges/16 Jan 52/Bermuda" c.d.s., unlisted in Scott this stamp was issued for fiscal purposes in late 1936, and was authorized for postal use from 1 February to April 1937, contemporarily used stamps are exceedingly rare, nevertheless a very fine desirable used copy, possessing superb centering and a impeccable face-free strike (S.G. £1,100 for contemporary use). Joao Del Rei" h.s., the letter sheet is a little aged resulting in parts of the address and cancellation ink acid-eaten, stamp is very fine (despite the toning) representing an appealing usage of this classic stamp with this scarce cancellation. 918 c 7 image#7, 1852 4c Black on blue, a remarkably large example with enormous margins all around, tied to folded double letter sheet by crisp strike of "Demerara/OC 22 1852" c.d.s., the reverse also contains the same c.d.s. strike, this correspondence was penned 25 miles up the coast at De Kinderen on the previous day, letter has a few aged fold splits here and there, the stamp has some minute surface disturbances which are much less that usually encountered on all known examples, an extremely fine and extraordinarily rare classic British Guiana cover.
