1281 og/nhO Allied Military Government specialized collection of several hundred stamps housed in two volumes, with most stamps mounted on well annotated Joseph Bush pages, includes issues for France which are represented by a complete set of ten of the 1944 bicolored second issue, all with clear double impressions of the basic design, the Germany AMG issues are quite numerous collected in a highly specialized manner (plate flaws, perforation varieties, etc.), the Italian related issues are also quite specialized and contain several notable errors, the Naples and Venezia Giulia issues are quite strong with varieties, blocks and gutter pairs, we also note numerous overprint errors or varieties (such as double, inverted, etc.), concluding with a very nice selection of Trieste Zone A, with it being very nearly complete used including the scarce 1947-48 Parcel Posts complete in used pairs, and another highlight being a mint (l.h.) 1947 10L Violet Parcel Post pair with rare narrow spacing overprint variety (Sassone catalog 2,000,000L), which is accompanied by a 1955 Mondolfo certificate, mint stamps will have o.g. and quite a number of these will be n.h., overall fine-very fine; a very worthwhile collection for either the serious specialist or for the collector wishing to become one in this fascinating area. 1282 og Antigua nearly complete mint collection of 88 different issues from 1863 to 1935, the complete colony less only two stamps (#1 and #7) for completion, includes numerous better Queen Victoria issues, a number of which catalog between $95.00 and $600.00 each, all of the King Edward VII and George V long sets are present, concludes with a complete set of the 1922 Barbuda overprints, nearly all with o.g. with the exception of just a couple of Queen Victoria issues, and what few faults are present are limited to small flaws on a couple of early issues, the great majority are quite fresh and fine-very fine. 1283 ogO 1/165 Australia mostly used balance collection of over 100 stamps (#1/165), displaying strength in the 1913-1930 Kangaroo and King George V issues, of note are two £2 used Kangaroos, the 1932 Sydney Bridge issue, and early airmails; while the majority is used, a few very nice o.g. 1284 ogO Australian States worthwhile mint and used collection of many hundreds of stamps from all six of the original states, generously filled through the classic period with items much cleaner than typically found in most collections of this area, several pairs and many four margin copies are present, of note is New South Wales #12 horizontal pair on laid paper, Western Australia #16 and many clean Tasmania Chalon heads, the 1860 period to the turn-of-the-century is very complete with many stamps that catalog $50.00-$200.00, also of note are mint Charity Issues, Victoria 1901-05 £1 issues and the Tasmania 1892 £1 issue, while the earliest items are in mixed condition, a large portion is fine-very fine with most of the latter unused material possessing o.g.; a collection that must be viewed to appreciate its depth. 1285 ogO 1/308 Bahamas comprehensive collection of over 300 mint or used stamps to 1970 on Scott pages (#1/308, B1-2, E1-3, MR1-14), the early Queen Victoria issues are mixed mint and used and missing only eight stamps for completion, from 1884 on it is complete and mint (less a couple insignificant QEII sets), in addition to the straightforward stamps, the collection contains many "extras" such as reversed watermarks, blocks, a couple covers including 5/- King George V single on cover to Germany, 1918 War Tax set of four with "Specimen" ovpt., etc., the earliest issues are in somewhat mixed condition with some minor flaws or no gum, the later issues are o.g. and generally fine-very fine; overall a very useful collection. 1287 ogO Barbados well filled collection of over 300 mint or used stamps to 1970 on Scott pages, much value in the Britannia issues, with the 1852 Imperforates complete mint plus three additional used values, some unused 1861 values, the 1871 Rough perf. watermark large star series is complete mint or unused, the 1871-73 Clean cut perfs. contains some better mint or unused values, the 1875-78 Britannias are just about complete mint or unused, complete from 1882 on less a couple inexpensive QEII sets, the collection is also augmented with shades, varieties, specimen overprints, etc., the early issues are in a little mixed condition although they appear fine or better, later issues are o.g. and generally fine-very fine; the catalog value should be at least $10,000.00. 1288 ogng Barbados desirable mint collection containing 161 different stamps, 1852-1935, considerable representation and catalog value will be found in the 1852-72 Britannia issues, with many scarce items to be found such as Scott #'s 27, 30, 34, 38 and 48, from 1882 on the collection is complete for all major Scott numbers, with all of the better sets; condition, as is usual, varies on the early Britannia types, with small faults and/or no gum to be found, however the condition overall is better than usual, and all of the late 19th century and 20th century stamps have o.g. and are generally fine-very fine. 1289 og Bermuda clean mint collection of 99 different (#1/113, MR1-2), nearing completion for issues to 1940, missing only the rarest stamps of the colony, does include the 1875 "One Penny." surcharges on 3p Buff and 1/- Green (both unused, catalog $450.00 each), from 1880 the collection is complete and includes all of the desirable high values such as #54 (catalog $350.00) and #94 (catalog $300.00) in fresh well centered condition, with the exception of the two stamps mentioned previously all stamps have o.g. and virtually all are fine-very fine; a great lot to begin collecting this popular colony.
