(Image) 1,250.00

182 O 86 image#86, 1c Blue, "E" grill, magnificently centered within huge margins all around, spectacularly rich and radiant color, plus its impression is truly prooflike on bright white paper, very light strike of an unusual rectangular grid postmark, extremely fine; a remarkable used gem whose equal may not exist; 1983 PF certificate. Closed or SOLD for $1,600.00
Closing..Oct-23, 06:00 PM
183 nh 87 image#87, 2c Black, "E" grill, a marvelous "post office" fresh mint example, with a remarkable overall brilliance and crispness, strong rich color and impression, considerably better centered than typically found on this always difficult stamp, full unblemished o.g. that is never hinged, very fine and handsome; the only never hinged premium quality Two Cent "E" grill we have seen; 1991 PF certificate. 186 O 89 image#89, 10c Green, "E" grill, phenomenally well centered and margined, with enormous perfectly balanced margins all around, deep luxuriant color and impression, beautifully postmarked with a double ring California revenue c.d.s., extremely fine; a striking used gem; accompanying 1993 PF certificate declines an "opinion as to whether the blue handstamp represents a revenue usage", however whether this was used as a revenue is not important, as this cancel is clearly a revenue type cancel which was, more than likely, used to postally cancel the stamp. (Image) 320.00

Closed or SOLD for $800.00
Closing..Oct-23, 06:00 PM
187 O 90 image#90, 12c Black, "E" grill, a superb used example that is the epitome of a gem used classic, featuring mathematically precise centering amid lavishly large margins, equally impressive is this stamp's deep shade and intense impression on bright paper, very light and unobtrusive blue cancel, even its perforations are uniformly full and intact, extremely fine; a magnificent stamp whose condition, it can be argued, is even better than the gem example from the Zoellner collection (Robert A. Siegel Auction Galleries, Inc., October 1998) which realized an impressive $1,980.00; 1990 PF certificate. (Image) 325.00

Closed or SOLD for $900.00
Closing..Oct-23, 06:00 PM
188 O 91 image#91, 15c Black, "E" grill, fabulously centered amid enormously large margins which are almost impossible to find on this typically tightly margined value (particularly at sides), strong rich color and a crisp impression on bright paper, neat segmented cork postmark and a bit of a blue transit cancel, extremely fine; exceedingly rare and desirable in this fantastic quality; 1989 PF certificate. (Image) 640.00

189 O 91 var. image#91 var., 15c Black, "E" grill, split grill, a magnificent quality used example of this difficult grilled stamp, made even more desirable by the presence of an easily identifiable split grill, possessing near perfect centering amid enormously large margins, both traits being rarely associated with this value, strong rich color, marvelously postmarked with very light face-free strikes of both black and red cancels confined to the very bottom of the stamp, an extremely fine gem; a most impressive condition rarity; 1988 PF certificate; ex-Yost. (Image) 775.00+

Closed or SOLD for $1,300.00
Closing..Oct-23, 06:00 PM

191 O 93 image#93, 2c Black, "F" grill, remarkably well centered amid absolutely gigantic margins for any stamp, let alone for a notoriously tight margined and poorly centered "Black Jack" issue, intense color and a strong impression on bright paper, light cancel, an extremely fine jumbo; 1986 and 1991 PF certificates. (Image) 3,000.00

Closed or SOLD for $6,000.00
Closing..Oct-23, 06:00 PM
196 ng 95 var. image#95 var., 5c Brown, "F" grill, very thin paper, exceptionally choice unused example of this rare variety, wonderfully well centered, sumptuously rich color and impression, extremely fine; several of the "E" and "F" grills are known on very thin paper, but the difference in their catalog values between the normal and thin paper varieties does not adequately reflect their true rarity, particularly in this premium quality; Scott does not price this variety without gum, it does price a "normal" unused stamp at about 45% of an original gum example; 1975 and 1999 PF certificates. (Image) for o.g. 3,250.00

Closed or SOLD for $1,600.00
