2072 ogO Worldwide highly interesting collection of thousands of all different stamps, housed in six Scott International albums, four of the volumes contain mixed mint and used stamps primarily from the late 19th century to the 1940's, mostly containing more common material, although an occasional surprise will surface, with noted strength in Canada (including mint $1.00 and $2.00 Jubilees), French Colonies and Switzerland; however the real strength and desirability of this collection will be found in the fifth and sixth volumes which contain only issues of the early to mid-1950's and these are well filled with a plethora of better mint sets from numerous highly desirable countries (this period produced stamps which over the years have leaped in catalog value), there are far too many better items to mention, but we can say there are substantial numbers of sets which catalog from $50.00 to $500.00 (or more), some of the stronger countries include Belgium, China (catalogs alone over $2,700.00), Germany and related areas, Japan, Laos, Liechtenstein, Macau, San Marino, Trieste, etc., the collection is even augmented with scarce Scott unlisted items (primarily imperforates); condition on the earlier material is mixed, although the two most important albums contain only very clean o.g. stamps, some of which (including key values) are n.h., fine-very fine; examination essential to fully evaluate and appreciate this desirable lot. Est. 4,000-5,000

SOLD for $11,000.00
Closing..Dec-08, 01:30 PM
2073 og Worldwide comprehensive mint collection for the years 1956-68, a most impressive six volume collection (large Minkus Supreme Global albums) brimming with complete mint sets of the world for this time span, with virtually no area of the world overlooked, with thousands of stamps from the British Commonwealth nations, Asia, Western and Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, extraordinarly comprehensive for the time period, with many countries complete or nearly so, we note not only many popular and highly collectable areas (i.e. Australia, China, French Southern and Antarctic Territories to name a few), but there are literally hundreds of sets that catalog $25.00, $50.00, $150.00 or more (up to as much as a couple at $500.00); all o.g. and neatly hinged (a few even n.h.), incredibly clean throughout, fine-very fine; collections of this type are becoming increasingly hard to find. Est. 2,000-3,000

SOLD for $5,500.00
Closing..Dec-08, 01:30 PM

SOLD for $1,150.00
Closing..Dec-08, 01:30 PM
2075 ogO Worldwide balance of a large consignment, diverse range of items from early to modern, including Heligoland, Palestine and French India collections on album pages, stockcards and a stockbook with some better pre-war British and European items (note a Western Australia 1857 6p Black on Bronze used with Brandon certificate and some better 20th century France), some modern mint, mixed condition, should prove to be a worthwhile lot. Est. 500-750

SOLD for $1,250.00
Closing..Dec-08, 01:30 PM
2076 ogO Worldwide cigar and file box accumulation of thousands of stamps, all housed in five cigar boxes, one file box (well filled) and a small album box, the majority of the stamps are mint sets and singles (some modest duplication) from the late 1940's through generally the 1960's, most in glassines, although needs a thorough sorting, nice variety of countries and loaded with topical related material; also includes a modest worldwide collection of several thousand stamps in a Scott International Junior album and a file folder with loose album pages filled with stamps; an entertaining lot for the worldwide collector and certainly of use to the retail bourse dealer. Est. 400-500

2078 ogOc Worldwide large accumulation of stamps and covers filling six boxes, includes six better country collections, noting U.N., Haiti, Nyassa, Venezuela, Germany and Canada, the latter being quite nice with a very respectable run of mint and used Large and Small Queens, Jubilees and Admirals to the 50c value, also 20 stockbooks or albums filled with lower-end items, thousands of postally used covers, some postal presentation packets, thousands of loose stamps in glassines and even some foreign banknotes, mixed condition with the Canada being fine-very fine and more than worth our extremely conservative estimate; Dallas viewing only due to the substantial weight involved. Est. 400-500
