1809 c C4 image#C4, 1927 60c Black, with "Air Mail/De Pinedo/1927" overprint, setting position 50, intense color and wonderfully detailed impression, very well centered, tied by neat "St. Johns, N'fld./May 20 1927" duplex to cover addressed to England, "Trepassy/Newf'nd/MY 21 27" c.d.s. adjacent below and "Roma/Centro" duplex receiver on reverse, the envelope has a vertical crease and is slightly soiled, the stamp is very fine and choice; of the 300 stamps sold, 230 were used on letters, though one does not know how many were soaked off (Unitrade C$25,000.00).
