785 E/P Essay, Proof and Trial Color unusually large and valuable holding of several hundred sets or singles, with many items cataloging $100.00-$400.00 each (and some higher), essays include some "August" issues, 3c 1861's, about fifty 3c 1869 Pictorials in various colors, 1877 se-tenant essays, and more, proofs are mostly plate proofs, with several complete sets (note four sets of the 1869 Pictorials on card as well as a set of Columbians on card), strong value in the trial color proofs, with many of the popular "Atlanta" proofs in sets, also of note is #083-93 "Goodall" set in green and several colors of #224 in pairs or blocks, some small faults but the majority are very fine; this lot not only has a very high catalog value (over $40,000.00), but the total retail value will also be quite high.
