422 og 356 image#356, 10c Yellow coil, perf. 12 vert., a magnificent quality guide line pair, being in a condition which places it among the finest of the few genuine 1909 Ten Cent coil line pairs in existence, possessing outstanding physical qualities that would be impressive for a normal pair of this value, let alone a very rare line pair, including being incredibly well centered and margined, plus its color is especially intense and vibrant, strong impression on bright fresh paper, full clean o.g. that has been only lightly hinged, extremely fine; it could be a very long time before another gem #356 line pair makes its way onto the auction block; signed with very light "SS & CCO" (Scott Stamp & Coin Co.) handstamp, as well as being accompanied by a 2002 PF certificate. (Image) 11,000.00

425 nh 359 image#359, 3c Deep violet on bluish paper, a pristine "post office" fresh mint example, possessing an incredible overall brilliance not often seen on any of the rarer Bluish Paper stamps, gloriously rich color and a prooflike impression, centered a bit to right but not objectionably so, unblemished o.g., never hinged, fine and choice; with usual small Stanley Gibbons guarantee handstamp found on a large number of Bluish Papers. (Image) 3,600.00

(Image) 22,500.00

427 og 360 image#360, 4c Orange brown on bluish paper, extraordinarily fresh, luxuriously rich color and a deeply etched impression on especially crisp paper, well centered, full clean o.g. that has been lightly hinged, very fine. A marvelously choice example of this important 20th century rarity, possessing far better centering and overall freshness than the vast majority of known examples. This value, along with the Eight Cent from the series, were never intended to be issued to the public. Approximately 90 of each were released in an exchange with the Post Office Department in Washington, D.C. to obtain other rarities for the nation's collection. An seldom seen opportunity to acquire a handsome original gum Four Cent Bluish Paper. Accompanied by a 1985 PF certificate. (Image) 24,000.00

430 og 363 image#363, 8c Olive green on bluish paper, incredibly fresh, with gorgeous intense color and a highly detailed impression on immaculate paper, quite well centered, especially compared to the small existing population, particularly clean full o.g., lightly hinged, choice very fine. Of the fewer than 90 examples that exist in private hands, the example from the Ballman collection is among the finest available, as the vast majority of these are found terribly off center, reperforated on one side or with faults. A rare opportunity to acquire one of the great 20th century rarities in premium condition. Accompanied by a 1973 PF certificate. (Image) 26,000.00

431 og 364 image#364, 10c Yellow on bluish paper, extraordinarily well centered, although accompanying certificate states "reperforated at bottom", an opinion with which we respectfully disagree, striking vibrant color and intense impression, full o.g. which is just slightly disturbed, extremely fine appearance; 1969 PF certificate. (Image) 1,800.00

SOLD for $900.00
Closing..Oct-18, 12:30 PM
