United States Stamps continued...

1902-1903 Regular Issues continued...
Lot Symbol CatNo. Lot Description CV or Estimate
501 O 313 image#313, $5.00 Dark green, an extraordinarily choice used single, being in a quality that would be quite a challenge to duplicate, possessing lavishly large margins all around and being remarkably well centered within these oversized borders, rich luxuriant color and impression, face-free cancel, extremely fine; a stamp for the collector who appreciates the true rarity of this stamp in premium used condition; 2001 PF certificate. (Image) 750.00

SOLD for $700.00
Closing..Mar-07, 12:30 PM
502 O 315 image#315, 5c Blue imperforate, a most impressive used single that possesses very large margins all around, plus its color is deeply rich and its impression razor sharp on bright white paper, an uncommonly light cancel further adds to this stamp's desirability, extremely fine; a rare stamp in this select used condition. (Image) 600.00

SOLD for $1,200.00
Closing..Mar-07, 12:30 PM
503 O 315 image#315, 5c Blue imperforate, a very rare used horizontal pair, with uncharacteristically large margins all around, strong rich color and a crisp impression, light wavy machine cancel, extremely fine; used pairs are quite undercataloged and greatly sought-after, as similar quality pairs have been realizing $3,500.00-$4,500.00 recently at auction. (Image) 2,500.00

SOLD for $2,700.00
Closing..Mar-07, 12:30 PM
504 Obl 315 #315, 5c Blue imperforate, a highly desirable used block of four, all used examples of this imperforate are scarcer than their mint counterparts, but blocks of four are particularly elusive, even the Gold Medal collection of Roger Brody that specialized in these issues lacked a used block, having only a single and a pair, this example is particularly choice with a neat machine flag cancel across the center of the block rather than oval cancels that are often found, margins are large to extra large, deep color and unusually sharp impression, extremely fine; an outstanding twentieth century used rarity. (Image) 5,250.00

SOLD for $6,000.00
Closing..Mar-07, 12:30 PM

(Image) 14,000.00

SOLD for $10,500.00
