1011 c 136L9 image#136L9, Swarts' City Dispatch, New York, N.Y., (1c) Red, four margin single with large to extra-large margins all around, tied along with a 3c Dull red (#26) by "New York/Nov 28 1857" c.d.s., to Orange, New Jersey, scarce used on letters posted to destinations outside of the city, plus a particularly late usage of the local and an early usage of the perforated 3c make for a scarce combination that is unlisted in Scott (the more usual but scarce #11 with this local is listed but unpriced), local has a pre-affixing vertical crease, cover has ink deterioration in the address and light creasing, still fine and rare. (#137L1a), and Swarts City Dispatch Post sheet of 25 (#136L14a), also four local covers or envelopes including Bicycle Mail Route 25c Green (#12L1) unused on unposted bicycle advertising cover of Arthur C. Banata, the founder, and an unused 3c Green entire of this company with the 25c Brown imprint (#12LU2), condition varies but in general both stamps and covers are in better condition than usually seen, with some exceptionally nice items, examine; four 1994-98 PF certificates accompany.
