1361 O RT25d image#RT25d, Wright, R. & G.A., 4c Green, watermarked, an unusually well centered stamp within large margins, radiant green color, with bright white paper, scarce on this paper and rarely found this nice, especially sound, extremely fine; 1990 PF certificate. (Image) 275.00

1362 O RT32b image#RT32b, Young, Ladd & Coffin, 4c Brown, silk paper, imperforate, the unique imperforate single making this the rarest of the perfumery stamps, it is believed that this was the discovery copy of this stamp, Joyce did not have an example, and it was not listed in Scott until 1995 and then unpriced, the next year it was priced at $6,000.00 where it has remained since it has not sold in that period, well clear to extra-large margins, brown color is deep and paper is fresh, light horizontal pen stroke, which is known to be used on these issues, very fine; a major private die rarity; 1994 PF certificate. (Image) 6,000.00

SOLD for $7,250.00
Closing..Mar-08, 09:00 AM
1363 O RT2h/RT33c #RT2h/RT33c, Balance of private die perfumery stamp collection, consisting of 40 mostly different stamps, generally perforated or the more common die-cut issues, though there are some imperforates of the Young, Ladd & Coffin issues, of particular merit is that the stamps in this collection have been picked for their excellent centering, and while a few faults are present as would be expected, there are far fewer faults than normally found in a collection of this size, nearly all are very fine or better for these; an excellent start on a quality collection of perfumery private die issues. Est. 750-1,000

SOLD for $2,300.00
Closing..Mar-08, 09:00 AM
1364 O RU2a/RU16d #RU2a/RU16, Select private die playing card collection of 23 mostly different stamps, these stamps are not particularly rare but the condition is exceptional, nearly all are very well centered, and though there are a few flaws present, the majority are sound and very fine or better. Est. 100-150

SOLD for $270.00
Closing..Mar-08, 09:00 AM

1368 ng S.G. #3-4 imageS.G. #3-4, 6p Black and 1/- Black on rose quadrille paper, vertical se-tenant pair, positions 2/8, unused, regummed over small edge repairs, cut close or just into the frames all around, nevertheless a very rare position multiple showing the positioning of these two values within the plate; multiples of any type in the "Fiji Times Express" issues are very rare, but vertical se-tenant multiples are particularly so, one strip of four of the 6p, 1/-, 1p and 9p on laid batonne paper is known in private hands (ex-Robertson), a similar strip and possibly other se-tenant multiples within the plate reconstructions are known in the Royal collection which obviously are not available, but we can find no other reference to se-tenant multiples on quadrille paper other than this pair making this an extremely important "Times Express" rarity, despite the condition problems that are all too frequent on these issues; catalog value quoted is for the two values as singles (Scott #3-4, $3,950.00+). SOLD for $2,100.00

Evans (Scott #5; $3,400.00+). (Image) £3,000+
