5 O 1c image#1c, 5c Red orange, a desirable used example of this distinctive and very rare shade, possessing the unmistakable red orange color that is attractively complemented by a red diamond grid cancel, beautifully set within four full even margins, accompanying certificate states "small corner crease at top left", we think this refers to a miniscule corner-tip crease at top right, which can only be mentioned for the sake of total accuracy, otherwise extremely fine; while most of the very few known examples of this rarest of all the 1847 colors have small faults, this is a remarkably choice example of this elusive color and regardless of condition missing from most major collections; 2000 PF certificate.
