202 og 71 image#71, 30c Orange, a superlative mint example of one of the 19th century's most difficult stamps, possessing several exceptional eye-arresting physical qualities, including being incredibly well centered, especially when compared to most examples which typically have their perforations cutting the design on at least one side, this particular copy boasts margins so wide that virtually no portion of the design is impinged by the perforations, plus this stamp is the beneficiary of a marvelous overall brilliance, with gorgeous sumptuously rich color and a crisp impression on bright paper, full clean o.g. that has been lightly hinged, extremely fine; an exciting condition rarity; the Scott catalog notes that "Values for No. 71 are for copies with small margins, especially at sides.
