1015 ogPB 212 image#212, 50c Orange, unwatermarked, beautiful full top margin imprint and plate no. 75 block of six, in a quality which is clearly extraordinary for any U.S. Possession plate block, let alone this important rarity, being incredibly fresh, with radiant color and a deep impression on bright paper, additionally this showpiece multiple is attractively centered, full o.g. which has been only slightly affected by interleaving as is normal, certainly extremely fine for this immensely rare plate block when considering its overall attributes; the only other example of this plate block that we are aware was offered in our 1998 auction of the Dr. J. Paul Wampler Collection, both are very comparable in centering and overall condition, however the Wampler block's selvage was substantially reduced, the example offered here being full with extra-large selvage and very possibly the finest full top plate block in existence; 1978 PF certificate; ex-Todd.
