713 nh 581/723 #581/723, The highly select balance of the remarkable collection formed by Dr. Killien, a neatly mounted collection of 284 different stamps, four booklet panes and six souvenir sheets, regular and commemorative issues of the period 1922-43, as with all of the stamps found throughout this catalog, the collection consists of stamps that have been carefully collected over many years by Dr. Killien with an eye towards centering, width of margins, color and overall freshness, while most of the stamps in this lot are of low to moderate catalog value, all are highly desirable due to their exceptional condition, some highlights include the 1923-29 Rotary Press coils cplt. (less the scarce 2c Ty. II) in gem pairs and line pairs, the 1931 Rotary Press regular issues are cplt., almost all of the commemoratives of the period are present, as are choice sets of the 1938 Presidentials (including coil pairs and line pairs) and the 1940 Famous Americans, we also note a small handful of earlier Washington-Franklin issues in similarly select condition, all are with o.g., never hinged, and with only two or three exceptions very fine-extremely fine; definitely not your typical "balance" of a collection.
