IX. 1933" bilingual c.d.s., violet flight cachet, routed through Friedrichshafen with transit c.d.s., Pernambuco receiving c.d.s. on the front, very fine and choice; an extremely rare Zeppelin cover from this African country possessing great eye appeal (Sieger €1,000; Michel #343a). 382 c Sieger #238Aaa imageSieger #238Aaa, 1933 Chicago Flight, a handsome and extremely rare registered cover from the very elusive country of Ethiopia, three air posts are tied by "21. IX. 1933/Harrar" bilingual c.d.s., flown on the leg to Brazil and routed through Friedrichshafen though this cover lacks the Friedrichshafen transit through an oversight in the post office at Friedrichshafen, red German flight cachet, backstamped Pernambuco, very fine; the covers of Ethiopia are among the rarest of the treaty-state posting and this particular flight is among the scarcest and most desired of the few flights for which covers were prepared (Sieger €2,250; Michel #347a). (Image) Est. 1,500-2,000

SOLD for $1,600.00
Will close during Public Auction
