"Delhi G. P. O./Reg./7. May. 35" c.d.s. with the incorrect "7" changed to

London and connecting with the Zeppelin through Friedrichshafen with red
general Zeppelin flight cachet with index letter "b" for the

Sieger #238Aaa var.
Sieger #238Aaa var., 1933 Chicago Flight, a rare
and unusual mixed franking registered cover with Iraqi 50f Brown tied by
"Baghdad P. O./8 Oct. 33" c.d.s., plus two German air posts, including a 2M
Chicago Flight Zeppelin single, tied by an airport c.d.s. of Halle/Leipzig,
connecting through Friedrichshafen with a transit c.d.s., red German flight
cachet, flown on the scarce leg to Akron, Ohio, backstamped, very fine;
this amazing cover is unusual in several ways, nearly all Iraqi Zeppelin
covers have mixed franking with Great Britain, not Germany, and because of
that they all connect with the Zeppelin via Berlin, this and a posting for
the 1934 Argentina Flight are the only posting that we are aware from this
country that went through Friedrichshafen and have mixed franking with
Germany; extremely rare and a great variety for the Chicago Flight
specialist; not listed by Sieger or Michel (Michel #351a var.).(Image)

way on this flight, certainly rare and unusual; not distinguished by Sieger
or Michel (Image)
