551 ogbl 32Bzh image#32Bzh, 1/- Bright blue green, Die II, an extraordinarily handsome and rare bottom margin T.S. Harrison one-line imprint block of four from Plate 1, believed to be one of only two such imprint blocks in private hands, outstanding centering throughout, strong fresh color on bright paper, o.g., couple of minor h.r.'s, very fine and wonderfully choice (A$20,000). (Image) Est. 15,000-20,000

SOLD for $6,750.00

553 nhbl 33Aa image#33Aa, 1/- Emerald, Die IIB, watermark inverted, fresh mint block of four, attractively centered, rich color, o.g., n.h., a few separated perforations at top center, overall very fine (for hinged A$1,000+). (Image) Est. 500-750

554 ogbl 33Caa image#33Caa, 1/- Bright blue green, Die IIB, watermark sideways, four marginal blocks of four from the center left and right of both upper (Plate 3) and lower (Plate 4) panes, showing the location of the inter-pane gutters, one block with ink notations in the sheet selvage (which also has a light crease and some perf. separations), o.g., mostly l.h., fine-very fine; a wonderful specialist's unit, perfect for exhibition; ex-Kilfoyle, Nelson (A$1,600). (Image) Est. 750-1,000

SOLD for $850.00
Will close during Public Auction
555 nhbl 33Caa image#33Caa, 1/- Bright blue green, Die IIB, watermark sideways, an impressive top left corner sheet-margin block of nine, with the sheet selvage being particularly helpful to see (at a glance) the sideways watermark, with position 4L1 being the "broken top frame at left" variety, exceptionally well centered, o.g., n.h., very fine; a wonderfully choice and scarce multiple (for hinged A$900+). (Image) Est. 750-1,000

SOLD for $800.00
Will close during Public Auction
556 ogbl 33Bb image#33Bb, 1/- Pale blue green, Die IIB, double perforation, block of four, bottom pair displaying almost coincident double perforations at sides and at bottom, although both perforations almost superimposed on one another, well centered, o.g. which is a bit "dull", very fine (A$600+). (Image) Est. 300-400

SOLD for $260.00
Will close during Public Auction
557 ogbl 33Cb image#33cb, 1/- Bright blue green, Die IIB, double perforation, striking mint block of six (2 x 3) with both center stamps displaying double perforations at sides and at bottom, fresh rich color, o.g., l.h., fine (A$600+). (Image) Est. 400-500

SOLD for $950.00
Will close during Public Auction
558 og 33Bb image#33Bb, 1/- Pale blue green, Die IIB, double perforations, official substitution of a complete horizontal strip of six at the top of the left pane, required because of an aberrant strike of the perforating comb in the top margin that would have extended into the design of all six original stamps, while the usual small repair tabs are evident at top and at the bottom of the strip, it remarkably was inserted with the selvage at both sides still attached resulting in margins of double thickness, while such major substitutions are occasionally found in the King George V series, this is an unusually large substitution for a Kangaroo issue, yellowish o.g., small toned spot on the reverse of one stamp, fine and striking. (Image) Est. 750-1,000

SOLD for $675.00
Will close during Public Auction
559 og 33Af image#33Af, 1/- Emerald, Die IIB, "LI" of "SHILLING" deformed, a choice mint example of this distinctive and easily seen plate variety [4L11], well centered, o.g., l.h., very fine (A$150). (Image) Est. 100-150

SOLD for $100.00
Will close during Public Auction

(Image) Est. 200-300

SOLD for $300.00
Will close during Public Auction
