621 og/nhbl 44zf image#44zf, 5/- Grey and yellow, an eye-arresting bottom margin John Ash imprint block of 16 (4 x 4),being one of no more than six John Ash imprint blocks believed to exist, with this being the largest surviving unit, contained within the multiple are six different identifiable and ACSC listed plate varieties, quite well centered for a multiple of this size, o.g., the eight stamps surrounding the imprint block are n.h., some minor h.r.'s in top row and reinforcing several separated perforations in the vertical row to the left of the gutter, ending in a sealed tear in the bottom sheet margin, overall fine-very fine; a most remarkable imprint multiple (for a hinged imprint block, four hinged singles and eight n.h. singles A$19,300+). 631 O 48Baa image#48Baa, 10/- Grey and deep aniline pink, watermark sideways, an enormously rare used example of this unusual watermark error, exceptionally well centered, strong rich colors, neat readable portion of a double oval Adelaide Registration Section handstamp (as virtually all used copies are found), trivial flaws as is typically encountered, with a minor horizontal bend and a couple of nibbed perforations at left, still very fine; considered to be one of the finest examples extant of the ten used examples recorded, three of which are institutionalized (one each in the Royal, Powerhouse Museum and Australia Post Collections) (A$15,000).
