The William H. Gross Collection of Great Britain Line Engraved Postage Stamps 1840-1841 - June 11, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.
It is anticipated that the final realizations from the sale of his Great
Britain collection will result in potentially the largest single donation
ever made in the United States to the international medical humanitarian
organization, and will be given as an unrestricted gift by Mr. Gross and
his wife, Sue Gross.
Volume 1 - Devoted to Exceptional Line Engraved Rarities - The William H.
Gross Great Britain Collection will be sold in two auction sessions (two
printed volumes). Volume 1 is devoted to 77 lots of many of the most famous
Line Engraved rarities (1840 One Penny Blacks, Two Penny Blues and
