US Inverts
This collection encompasses a wide selection of United States inverts. In stamp production, an invert error occurs when part of a postage stamp is printed upside-down. Inverts are perhaps the most spectacular of postage stamp errors, not only because of their striking visual appearance, but because some are quite rare, and highly valued by stamp collectors. These inverts are some of the most famous and widely recognized US stamps. The list of possible US inverts are as follows: 1869 inverts (1869), Pan-American inverts (1901), Inverted Jenny (1918), Dag Hammarskjöld invert (1962), CIA invert (1976), Nixon invert (1996) and the Savings Bank invert (1992). The recent Re-issued Jenny Invert has made the non-stamp collecting population aware of these errors, and the time is right to form a collection of these striking errors.

The PrideHouse Collection.
We are very new collectors. Our journey in the philatelic world started only four short years ago. After the death of my father, we were given a collection of stamps and coins, as well as currency, all of which, we knew nothing about. My fathers collection of stamps was comprised of mostly Canadian mint stamps. They are literally thousands. All of them pristine and beautiful. Like all journeys, they all begin with a single step. We have made several steps, as well as some leaps and bounds. The collection has grown to a rather impressive world collection now. My dream would be to fill it up with even more rarities. The two of us have different interests, but collectively share in the whole. We have spent countless hours studying, categorizing and researching. With thousands (lots) of dollars later, we cherish our collection of Germany, Russia, China, Italy, Hungary and many many more countries. Our United States collection is the most difficult one to learn. We are proud of our efforts and it has paid off. We own quite a few true rarities, and would like to go after some missing blanks.

British Australian States Printed in the Colony
The colonists in most of the Australian colonies chose to print their own stamps, rather than wait for England to print them. Also, they would have to wait several months before the stamps would be delivered from England. Most colonies of the British Empire waited for stamps to be shipped to them from the "Mother Country", England. New South Wales first stamps, which are nicknamed "Sydney Views" were engraved in Sydney. Tasmania's first stamps, which are nicknamed "Couriers", were engraved in Hobart. Western Australia's first lithograph stamps, which are nicknamed "Swans" were printed in Perth. And my favorite, Victoria's first lithographed stamps, which are nicknamed "Half-Lengths" were printed in Melbourne. Since these stamps were printed in the colonies with deadlines to meet, the printer would do whatever was necessary to get the job done. This has created many varieties, with many being very rare, Any philatelist who studies and collects stamps from the Australian States, will be busy for a lifetime with many rewards.

1870
This collection will attempt to show typical uses of the Bordeaux Provisionnal Issue 1 centime value of France, 1870. Scott Number 38.
Specific solo uses only include printed matter sent loose or under wrapper and non-political newspapers sent in the departement they were published in and to adjacent departments.
Multiple copies were often used for newspapers 2 cent rates or printed matter sent in unsealed envelopes basic rate of 5 cent.
When the basic letter rate was increased from 20 to 25 cent in Sept. 1871, in the absence of a 25 cent stamp, the 1 cent stamp was used in various combinations to make up the new rate.
This stamp was also used in many of the French Post Offices abroad. Here a pair used in Monaco.
