Parlement, additional manuscript "12" at lower right and a rate notation at upper right crossed out, lightly cleaned and some overall wear VERY FINE APPEARANCE. THIS IS THE EARLIEST REPORTED LETTER FROM SPANISH COLONIAL NEW
ORLEANS. Accompanied by typed translation which reads in part "Aboard the Spanish frigate Jupiter, moored at Horn Island 30 leagues from New Orleans" and also "It is believed that the 'Donation of the Mississippi' [referring to
