3561 c Balance of the Calvet M. Hahn Collection of Transatlantic Stampless Covers. Approximately 600 stampless folded letters/covers, essentially 1830's-1860's with perhaps a few outside of these decades, the vast majority in the 1840's-1850's, outstanding range of conventions, rates, markings and destinations, mostly between the United States and British Isles and Europe, but also several other destinations including India, South America, Mexico, Singapore (one Biddle correspondence cover), others, numerous varieties including several depreciated currency covers, non-contract "Ship" letters, forwarded usages, forwarder markings, many covers with Mr. Hahn's descriptive typed labels, since mostly folded letters there is a massive amount of content which would take years to peruse, some faulty but most covers in nice condition

A BREATHTAKING ACCUMULATION OF TRANSATLANTIC STAMPLESS COVERS. THIS DESIRABLE HOLDING IS THE PRODUCT OF A LIFETIME OF DILIGENT SEARCH AND STUDY BY CALVET M. HAHN.

We have assigned a conservative estimate to this group, which represents a significant total retail value, and we recommend careful examination
