3574 c The Calvet M. Hahn Collection of Transatlantic Forwarders' Markings. Huge collection of approximately 320 covers, vast majority stampless, bearing forwarder handstamps for foreign mail, both incoming to the United States and outgoing, wonderful range of forwarders, origins and destinations, in addition to Great Britain and Europe we note Turkey, Canada, Mexico, Columbia, Brazil, Trinidad, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Haiti, (Asian covers were removed and made into individual lots), highlights too numerous to detail, but suffice to say that many rates and usages are represented, some unusual examples as well including a quadruple forwarder, most covers with a typed label with Mr. Hahn's copious notes describing the route, rates, contents and sometimes historical background, majority with clear strikes

VERY FINE. A STAGGERING AND VALUABLE ACCUMULATION OF FOREIGN-MAIL FORWARDER HANDSTAMPED COVERS.

Many, if not most of these covers would retail for $75 or more, with a number in the $100+ range. This group would serve as an anchor to a fascinating forwarder study or as a component to a broader transatlantic mail study
