3803		10c Green, Ty. V (35). Horizontal strip of three, each cancelled or tied by bold strike of "Paid 10" in circle handstamp, light matching strike of "Spanish Flats Cal. Jun. 8" circular datestamp with day in ms. on 1861 yellow cover to Switzerland, red "N. York Brem. Pkt. Paid Jul. 6" and other backstamps, blue Bremen transit handstamp, stamps and cover with light soiling, left stamp few perf flaws at bottom, still Very Fine, an unusual cover, accompanying explanation from Richard Winter notes this overpays the 19c rate by Bremen-Hamburg Mail, it was likely franked with 30c of postage to pay the Prussian Closed Mail rate, but was underpaid by 5c, so New York sent it by Bremen-Hamburg Mail (Image) Search for comparables at SiegelAuctions.com	E. 750-1,000 SOLD for $850.00 Will close during Public Auction
