EXTREMELY FINE. A RARE USE OF THE UNITED STATES CITY DESPATCH POST 3-CENT GREEN ON INTER-CITY MAIL.

The shade of this stamp paper is a distinctive Moss Green, which was evidently used for an early printing on glazed paper. We have seen very few examples. This use of the early Moss Green on inter-city mail is exceedingly rare.
