VERY FINE. A RARE MIXED-FRANKING COVER FROM SAMOA TO THE UNITED STATES.

The Odenweller book notes that the grids tying the Samoa and U.S. stamps are different, but we think they are identical and were likely applied to all three stamps on arrival in San Francisco.

VERY FINE. A COLORFUL AND RARE FRANKING ON A REGISTERED COVER FROM SAMOA TO GERMANY, PAYING FIVE-TIMES 3-PENCE RATE PLUS REGISTRY FEE.

The Odenweller census lists only one other with a similar franking, mailed on the exact same day but to a different recipient in Leipzig.
