THE 1853 5-CENT KAMEHAMEHA III BLACK TRIAL COLOR PROOF IS EXTREMELY RARE. ONLY THREE "SETS" OF BOTH VALUES ARE KNOWN TO US. The three "sets" of 5c and 13c Kamehameha III trial color proofs in Black are as follows: 1) ex Tows and Honolulu Advertiser, 2) ex Ishikawa, and 3) the set in the Golden collection.
