Oct. 9 7:30AM 96" duplex and used to Osborne Kans., clear strike of receiving backstamp, Very Fine, a scarce early Trans-Mississippi-related cover mailed two years before the Exposition -- in 1895, two years after the Columbian Exposition, Congress stated its desire to hold an "exposition of all the products, industries, and civilization of the states west of the Mississippi River, made at some central gateway, where the world can behold the wonderful capabilities of these great wealth producing states..." 305		Trans-Mississippi -- "Omaha" Exposition Stamps. 306	E	1c-$2.00 Trans-Mississippi, Bi-Color Large Die Essays on India (285E8-293E7). On approximately 98 x 83mm cards with full die sinkage, six are hybrids (incl. $1.00 and $2.00) EXTREMELY FINE. A REMARKABLY PRISTINE SET OF THE TRANS-MISSISSIPPI BI-COLOR ESSAYS.
