Horizontal pair, tied by "New York Mar. 18 6AM PO" duplex datestamp and oval grid cancel struck mostly off of cover, used with two Canada, 1872, 3c Dull Red (37), with Wells, Fargo & Co. printed frank crossed out, to Paris, France, one Canada stamp uncancelled, the other just tied by blue 1878 Paris transit double-circle datestamp, blue "Wells, Fargo & Co. Victoria" oval handstamp, small filing holes, slightly reduced at top, some slight wear including toning affecting few perfs

FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE MIXED-FRANKING EXPRESS USE FROM VICTORIA TO FRANCE.
