Vertical pair, slightly toned original gum, h.r.'s, clear double of additional overprint that straddles the pair, warm shade, minute aesthetic repair at bottom left corner FINE APPEARANCE. AN EXCITING 1866 -1/2-ANNA PROVISIONAL WITH DOUBLE OVERPRINT. A STRIKING ERROR ESPECIALLY SO AS A PAIR. It is believed that only one extra row of the overprint was done causing 24 errors. 3431°		INDIA, 1883-97, 1a Maroon, Official, Horizontal Pair, One Overprint Omitted (SG O40c; Scott O28 var). Mint N.H. se-tenant block of twelve with part gutter at top and selvage at right, containing two errors within the center block, fourth vertical pair with albino overprint, pos. 3 additionally showing the without stop after "S" variety, slight creasing on right vertical pair and one stamp with light pencil marks EXTREMELY FINE. A STUNNING INDIA OFFICIAL SHOWPIECE OF THE ONE-ANNA "ON H.M.S." OVERPRINT WITH MISSING OVERPRINT. The only other example is a strip of six with the fourth position showing a partial overprint (ex Rose-Hutchinson).
