1c Dark Ultramarine, Special Printing (192). Without gum as issued, perfect centering with wide and well-balanced margins, radiant colorEXTREMELY FINE GEM. THIS IS ARGUABLY THE FINEST EXAMPLE
OF THE ONE-CENT 1880 AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY SPECIAL PRINTING IN EXISTENCE, OF WHICH 25 ARE RECORDED IN OUR CENSUS. A REMARKABLE STAMP IN TERMS OF COLOR, CENTERING, PERFORATIONS AND OVERALL FRESHNESS. Our comprehensive census of Scott 192
(available at http://www.siegelauctions.com/dynamic/census/192/192.pdf ) contains a total of 25 copies of Scott 192. Of these, thirteen are reported to be sound.
Of these thirteen, however, the centering of only one other comes close to the example offered here. Census No. 192-UNC-02. With 1971 and 2005 P.F. certificates (Image) Search for comparables at SiegelAuctions.com |

2c Black Brown, Special Printing (193). Without gum as issued, deep rich color, detailed impression, choice centering with well-balanced marginsEXTREMELY FINE. A SCARCE SOUND AND SUPERBLY CENTERED
EXAMPLE OF THE 2-CENT 1880 AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY SPECIAL PRINTING. THIS IS ONE OF THE FINEST WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED. Our recently updated census records for Scott 193 contain 47 certified examples, of which almost half half faults (mostly
thins). Of the sound examples, nearly all are centered to top or one side. The stamp offered here is one of the very few sound and centered examples. Unpublished Census No. 193-UNC-19. Signed by E. Stern in pencil. With 1964, 1990 and 1997 P.F.
certificates. Offered to the market for the first time in over a decade. (Image) Search

3c Blue Green, Special Printing (194). Without gum as issued, intense shade and detailed impression, choice centering for this difficult issueVERY FINE AND CHOICE. A GORGEOUS SOUND AND
WELL-CENTERED EXAMPLE OF THE 3-CENT 1880 AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY SPECIAL PRINTING. -- ONLY FOURTEEN EXAMPLES ARE RECORDED IN OUR CENSUS, MAKING THIS ONE OF THE RAREST OF ALL SPECIAL PRINTINGS. Our census of Scott 194 (available at http://www.siegelauctions.com/dynamic/census/194/194.pdf ) contains only fourteen examples. Its rarity matches or exceeds the most valuable Special Printings, such as
Scott Nos. 180 (24 known), 181 (10 known), 203 (20 known), 204 (18 known), 205C (21 known) and 211D (25 known). In fact, it is the rarest of any Bank Note Special Printing among the Scott-listed "sets" (167-177 and 192-202). As further evidence of
its elusiveness, six years passed here at Siegel between the sale of the Scott 194 from the Drucker collection in 2002 and the Hoffman copy in 2008, during which time not one other appeared in our auctions. Census No. 194-UNC-02. Ex Lilly,
Kantor, Lessin and Hinrichs. With 1948, 1967, 1992 and 2004 P.F. certificates (Image) Search for comparables at SiegelAuctions.com |

6c Dull Rose, Special Printing (195). Without gum as issued, fresh and bright colorVERY FINE EXAMPLE OF THE 6-CENT 1880 AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY SPECIAL PRINTING. FEWER THAN 30 ARE
BELIEVED TO EXIST. Our recently updated census records contain 26 certified examples of Scott 195, an oddly low number. Some of the stamps submitted as the Special Printing, but certified as the regular issue, Scott 186, could in fact be Special
Printing stamps (the two are difficult to tell apart). We record another three stamps which we feel are possibly Scott 195, despite previous P.F. certification. Unpublished Census No. 195-CAN-10. Ex Ambassador, Cole and Golin. With 1957, 1988
and 2008 P.F. certificates (Image) Search for comparables at SiegelAuctions.com |

7c Scarlet Vermilion, Special Printing (196). Without gum as issued, radiant color as fresh as the day it was printed, unusually choice centering with wide and balanced margins, tiny natural
inclusion at bottom left not mentioned on accompanying certificatesEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB EXAMPLE OF THE 1880 7-CENT AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY SPECIAL PRINTING. Our recently updated census records for Scott 196 contain approximately
80 certified examples. It is the most common of the soft-paper Special Printings because the 7c was no longer in production in 1880 and, probably to some degree, because it can be easily identified since there is no regular issue on soft
paper. Unpublished Census No. 196-UNC-22. With 1991 and 1998 P.F. certificates (Image) Search for comparables at SiegelAuctions.com |

potentially sound examples (some have not been examined in many years). Many of the sound copies are not as well-centered as the one offered here. Unpublished Census No. 196-UNC-21. With 1986 and 1997 P.F. certificates

1880 AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY SPECIAL PRINTING. ONLY 36 ARE RECORDED IN OUR CENSUS. Our recent review of the records of the Philatelic Foundation found only 36 certified examples of Scott 199. This is a difficult Special Printing to obtain,
especially in such choice condition. Unpublished Census No. 199-UNC-05. Ex Lessin. With 1953 and 2002 P.F. certificates (Image) Search for comparables at SiegelAuctions.com |

90c Dull Carmine, Special Printing (202). Without gum as issued, brilliant color on crisp paper, unusually wide marginsEXTREMELY FINE. VERY FEW OF THE 41 RECORDED COPIES OF THE 1880 90-CENT
AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY SPECIAL PRINTING CAN COMPARE TO THE STAMP OFFERED HERE. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST DIFFICULT SPECIAL PRINTING STAMPS TO FIND IN SOUND CONDITION. The 90c 1880 Special Printing on soft paper is notorious for its condition
(thins affect most of the known examples) and typically poor centering. In this stamp we have the rare combination of soundness, margins and centering, as well as extraordinary freshness. We regard it as among the finest of the 41 in our census
records. Unpublished Census No. 201-UNC-01. Signed in pencil by E. Stern. Ex Engel and Golin. With 1957, 1989 and 1999 P.F. certificates (Image) Search for comparables at SiegelAuctions.com |
