1059 O   Worldwide old-time used collection in a well worn two-volume 1902 green Scott album (the album itself is rarely seen anymore), while at first glance it appears to be a "stripped" collection, since some stamps have been removed, on closer examination there are many useful and higher cataloging stamps still present, with British colonies, Great Britain proper (including a few with cancels of foreign post offices), Hong Kong, Japan, various early issues of Europe, and more, somewhat mixed quality with many attractive stamps noted, worth more than a cursory inspection. Est. $750-1,000

SOLD for $2,800.00
Will close during Public Auction
1060 ogO   Worldwide unusual air mail collection of over 400 mint and used on stock pages, the purpose of the collector was to collect the first air mail stamp of each country which was usually #C1, but in the process he acquired other air mails and regular issue stamps, such as a portion of the rest of the set that came with #C1 or stamps that were issued earlier than #C1 relating to air mail, etc., many stamps are quite common but about half of the stamps are #C1 and it is surprising how many stamps catalog $10.00-$100.00 or more, We note Spanish and French Andorra, China has an interesting and valuable group which includes mint 1949 Provincial issues with some of the other stamps that were issues at the same time such as the six values of Shensi cplt., also mint #C1 of France, Honduras and Ryukyu , plus the Finland Zeppelin overprint used, mint first airmail sets of Kuwait and Switzerland and much more, some faults are present plus a few fake overprints are not counted, but most are o.g. or used and largely fine-very fine with a Scott value is well over $3,000.00. Est. $400-500

SOLD for $800.00
