On Thursday, November 19, 2009 another impressive collection formed by William H. Gross – his collection of Important Postage Stamps and Postal History of British North America – will be sold at unreserved public auction in New York City. And, once again, both Sue and Bill Gross demonstrate their remarkable generosity by donating the entire sales proceeds to the Smithsonian National Postal Museum.

The Gross Collection of British North America is a relatively small (133 lots), but a remarkable assemblage of highly desirable and seldom seen rarities of the British North America. There is no question this will be one of the most anticipated auctions of the fall season.

The Gross Collection of British North America will be appropriately honored and preserved in a special hardbound all-color auction catalog.
