349 og 756-65 var. Image#756-65 var., 1c-10c National Parks imperforate, with 1940 Post Office gum, each with large balanced margins, fresh color, o.g., lightly hinged, extremely fine; all of the imperforate National Park sets were issued and sold without gum, along with the other Farley issues, these could be sent to the Washington, D.C. Post Office to have gum applied, if desired. However, few people actually sent them in for gumming. This is understandable since most Farleys were purchased in sheets or large multiples and it would have been cumbersome to mail them back to Washington. While we have seen some of the souvenir sheet with the so-called "1940" gum, we have never seen a set of the National Parks; each is accompanied by a 2011 PSAG certificate. (imagea) (Image) Est. $400-500

SOLD for $375.00
