1571 og The highly desirable and valuable mint collection of well over 900 different stamps from the Convention States, 1884-1944, being one of the nicest and most comprehensive collections of this popular area we have ever offered, all neatly housed in black hingeless mounts on Scott pages, and augmented with numerous overprint errors which are all listed in Stanley Gibbons (i.e. double, inverted, misspellings, etc.), Chamba is solid missing only a couple of the later sets, Faridkot is complete, as are Gwalior and Jhind (both of which have many overprint varieties present), the rare Jhind 1886-98 Queen Victoria set high values have no gum, Nabha is also complete, and Patiala is virtually complete, less only the very rare 1894 2a Official; virtually all items are found in desirable complete sets, many of which catalog hundreds of dollars each, with officials being a major part of the value of the collection; all stamps have o.g. (with only a few exceptions), hinging ranges from h.r. to l.h., while an occasional small fault is noted, overall this collection is fine-very fine; a worthwhile collection whose total catalog value will be quite substantial. Est. 2,000-3,000

Closed or SOLD for $9,500.00

1572 og Remarkably comprehensive mint collection of over 875 different stamps, 1844-1944, very nearly as complete as the previous collection and just as desirable due to the presence of so many scarce and elusive stamps, again many of the States are complete, or nearly so, with official stamps being an integral part of the collection, this collection has very few overprint varieties, but does have some of the Gibbons listed shade varieties, all housed in a single album in mounts on homemade pages, just a couple of stamps are without gum, the vast majority have o.g., h.r. to l.h., a few small faults noted, overall fine-very fine; large catalog value involved. Est. 1,500-2,000

Closed or SOLD for $3,500.00
