31 c Private vending and affixing machine perforations on cover, an impressive assemblage offered intact of a remarkable 384 covers all of which have been franked with private vending coils used during the period of 1909-22, as to be expected with a group this large, the vast majority have been franked with Schermack Ty. III perforations, however we do note a few Mailometer and U.S.A.V. frankings as well, plus one Farwell cover (quite scarce), in the Schermack Types there is a marvelous range of issues involved (including some higher catalog items as #368 and #533), but there are unusual usages as well, advertising corner cards abound, several of which are quite attractive, we note a couple with desirable control perfins, etc.; condition varies, but the great majority are fine-very fine; accumulations like this have become increasingly difficult to find in recent years, and certainly the opportunity to acquire such a large holding at one time is a very rare occurrence; a lot full of potential for the serious specialist collector or dealer.
