846 Obl RG131 image#RG131, $500.00 Gray, a most impressive multiple usage of this scarce stamp, still adhering (on reverse of stamps) to a portion of a Treasury Department Silver Transaction document dated November 12, 1951, being a complete sheet of four, two vertical pairs and a single, serial numbers 1665, 1674-75, 1683-84 and 1685-88, the sheet having been folded in the middle, all faintly cancelled in purple, but none with typical cut cancels, bottom stamp in one pair with defect, others with negligible wrinkling and bends, fine; probably one of the largest multiple usages of a high denomination stamp still intact (a total of $4,500.00 face value!), a magnificent showpiece perfect for exhibition.
