1086 ogOc Egypt eclectic collection of a few hundred mostly used stamps and over 100 covers, plus a few proofs and unlisted material, includes seven stampless covers with "Posta Europa" oval handstamps, the stamps start with the 1866 Issue and go to about 1940, although not all issues are represented, however some issue are quite in depth, particularly the 1872-1874 Pyramid issues, which contain different types and shades as well as a couple interesting covers, later issues include some overprint varieties, also of note is an 1886 1p postage due, horizontal pair, imperforate between used (Charles Hass certificate), plus there are several dozen censored covers and about 40 covers from the American Legation in Cairo to Baghdad c.1940-41, mainly fine or better; overall an extremely useful collection for both the collector and dealer. 1088 ogOc S.G. A1-15 British Forces in Egypt exhibition quality collection of the1932-1939 issues (S.G. #A1-15), on annotated pages, plus some loose covers, containing about 250 covers, plus numerous stamps including many multiples, and a few proofs, all issues are well represented, the 1932 "Postal Seal" and "Letter Seal" stamps include dozens of covers with a wide variety of markings and usages, also a proof block of four, many mint and used multiples, plate varieties, etc., the 1932 Christmas Seals include many covers with at least three of the scarce black on azure and some of the brown-lake shades, also full panes, mint and used multiples, etc., the 1934 issue contains numerous cover of both the carmine and green stamps, with dozens of covers and many mint or used multiples, the 1935 Jubilee stamp is represented by at least five covers and some off-cover examples, the 1935 Xmas stamp contains a few covers and some multiples, and the 1936-39 issues contain a wide range of covers, as well as mint and used multiples and a couple proofs; a remarkably comprehensive collection, certainly the finest we have ever seen, and would be ideal for expanding into a gold-medal collection. 1089 ogO Eqypt interpostal seals interesting collection of about 1,500 seals in an stockbook, homemade album and album pages, a couple hundred or so are used, basically the balances of three major collections of these fascinating issues, while the homemade album contains the least number of items (a couple hundred) of the three units, the pages are neatly laid out with black mounts and typewritten annotations as to types and dies and this would be the ideal place to incorporate the three units into an impressive collection, there is duplication, but a wide variety of seals are present, a good portion of which are identified by type or die, typical mixed condition; an unusual opportunity, as interpostal collections of this size are rarely offered today. 1094 Oc Great Britain used abroad collection of over 125 stamps and seven covers, mainly cancels on the 1865-1881 Surface Printed issues, several Latin American cancels including fifteen from Brazil, also some better stamps including the 4p Sage green used from Nicaragua, Panama and Venezuela, also many from Malta, some Gibraltar, Constantinople including two 5/- Rose with "C" cancels, and three different stamps with the scarce "British Army Post Office/Egypt" c.d.s., covers are mostly stampless used in Latin America from British post offices, but also of note is a Peru 1d tied by Arica c.d.s (from British P.O.) on folded letter to Italy (with Italian postage dues tied on arrival), stamps are in typical mixed condition, the cancels are all clearly legible with mostly very fine strikes. 1099 Oc India specialized used collection of many hundreds of stamps or cover in three albums, 1852-1945, with much cancel interest throughout, includes an example of the scarce 1852 Scinde Dawk on white paper, the 1854 Issue includes about thirty 1/2a Blue, twenty 1a red, and ten 2a green, with shade and cancels, also at least seven cut square examples of the 4A Red and blue, the 1855-66 Queen Victoria heads have an extensive showing of cancels, with hundreds of stamps and several covers covering a very wide range of cancels, markings and usages, the later issues also have duplication with cancel interest, there is also a selection of Convention States present as well as back-of-the-book (we note the British Railway Administration stamp (S.G. #BR133) used on cover), mixed quality; should be a goldmine to the Indian cancel enthusiast.
