1033 ogOblc 10X1/Q8 #10X1/2511b, C1/Q8, The eclectic yet valuable balance of a major consignment, consisting of a few hundred items neatly arranged on black cards that are inside of individual pouchettes, the great majority are medium to higher catalog items, with very little common material, there are singles, some blocks and plate blocks, even a couple of covers, largely from the 1845-1938 time period, but some modern material as well, there is far too much material to individually list every item, but to give potential bidders just a flavor of what will be found we note the following: 5c and 10c Providence, R.I. postmaster provisionals, 1847 10c tied to cover, several used higher denomination 1869 Pictorials, several 1893 Columbians including a complete mint/unused set through the $5.00, dollar value Bureaus mixed mint and used, interesting Washington-Franklin items, two mint 1918 $5.00 Deep green and black, five mint 1923 $5.00 America, 1938 $5.00 Presidential plate block of four, two 1956 $5.00 Hamilton plate blocks, many better air posts, including several complete sets of 1918 and 1923 issues, and 6c and 16c plate blocks of six of the 1918 issue, two used sets of 1930 Graf Zeppelins, and even a couple of better foreign items; condition is understandably mixed, although very little is terribly faulty, some mint stamps with either be without gum or regummed, yet most have o.g., even some n.h. noted; significant catalog value is involved so serious viewing is highly recommended. 1034 ogngO 1/630, CE1/QE4 #1/630, CE1/QE4, Remarkably comprehensive mint and used collection to 1926, containing approximately 550 different stamps, representing nearly 85% of all regular and commemorative issues from 1847 through 1926, all on Scott hingeless pages, the majority of stamps from 1847 to 1881 are used, thereafter most are mint or unused; the list of better items is long, however a brief overview reveals such better stamps as: 1847 Issues used, plus the unused Reproductions of 1875 of the same issue, solid 1851-56 Issues, 1857-61 Issues complete (including #28A, 31 and 34) less only three stamps, 1861-66 Issues solid, 1867 "E" and "F" grills complete, 1869 Pictorials complete (some even unused), Bank Notes are complete less only #142 and, of course, the special printings, 1890-93 Bank Notes mint/unused complete, 1893 Columbians complete (the dollar values are used), the 1894 and 1895 Bureau issues are complete mint/unused including all dollar values, 1898 Trans-Mississippis, 1901 Pan-Americans and all other commemoratives of the period complete, 1902-03 Regular issues are complete as well, the Washington-Franklin issues are missing very few stamps, which have been augmented by the presence of the two different Five Cent Carmine errors (one in a block of nine), there are dollar values throughout, as well as Offset issues of 1918-20 virtually complete (including #534B), 1922-25 Regular issues and concluding with a White Plains souvenir sheet, back-of-the-book issues are represented by complete mint runs of Special Deliveries, Parcel Posts, Parcel Post Postage Dues and Special Handling stamps; this impressively filled collection contains a plethora of very scarce and high cataloging stamps, often in rather mixed condition, nevertheless it is rare to see so many elusive stamps offered as a single collection, mint stamps range from unused/regummed to o.g. (several even n.h.), generally of fine or better appearance; we are certain that the total catalog value will add up to a most impressive figure (certainly in the $125,000 to $140,000 range); remarkably a total of 75 different APS, PF or PSE certificates accompany. 1036 ogO 1/3119, C1/QE4 #1/3119, C1/QE4, Comprehensive mostly mint collection of several thousand stamps, 1847-1996, being one man's intact collection housed in fourteen Minkus albums, with regular issues, commemoratives, coil pairs, booklets and back-of-the-book represented, most of the value will be found in mint stamps of the 20th century and is quite complete from 1901 through 1996, the 19th century has many stamps with the majority used, items of note include a four margin Five Cent 1847 with red grid cancel, numerous used Banknotes to the 90c value, and many nicer mint Bureau issues, the 20th century is almost exclusively mint where we note, 1901 Pan Americans complete, a nice run of the Washington-Franklin issues, related coils and booklet panes, the 1920 era commemorative sets, complete Kansas-Nebraska overprints, and 1918 & 1923 air post series complete, two of the albums are devoted exclusively to coil strips and three albums to booklets; condition on the 19th century material is quite mixed, however the 20th century contains several premium quality items with only a few flaws, nearly all mint will have o.g., all stamps after 1940 appear n.h., as are a few earlier issues, very good to very fine or better, with many valuable items being quite choice; examination is essential to accurately evaluate this extensive collection. 1038 ogOc Interesting "old-time" collection in a homemade album, containing several hundred items from the 1847-1925 time period, all "mounted" by the old fashioned method of affixing the stamps with their original gum, or in the case of used stamps, often pasting them down, still others (fortunately) were hinged with pieces of sheet selvages, containing some useful higher valued items such as used Five Cent and Ten Cent 1847 Issues, 1857-60 24c-90c high values mint (30c used), 1869 Pictorials to the 30c used, better Bank Notes, some Bureau issues including used dollar values to the $5.00, 1893 Columbians and 1898 Trans-Mississippis both to the 10c mint, other early mint commemorative sets as well, scattering of back-of-the-book issues, including air posts complete (#C13-15 present mint), postage dues, officials, newspapers, even some cut squares and mint stamped envelopes; very mixed condition, with a large number of stamps stuck down, still a worthwhile collection for someone with a lot of patience. 1039 ogOc Mint and used collection/accumulation of a few thousand stamps, being one man's intact collection, consisting of three albums, two being rather sparsely filled with duplicates and the third is the main collection that is fairly well filled with primarily used stamps (considerable catalog value involved), plus there are two cigar boxes, a file folder and a shoe box filled with unsorted material, duplicates and covers, while nothing is terribly scarce the lot is not devoid of better items either, as we quickly noted used Five Cent and Ten Cent 1847 Issues, $1.00 Columbian both unused and used, $2.00 Columbian used, complete 1898 Trans-Mississippis used, an unusual used plate number block of six of #533 (catalogs $600.00 as three used pairs), a mint White Plains souvenir sheet, mint sets of Kans.-Nebr. overprints, 1930 Graf Zeppelins complete on three flown covers, plus other useful material; condition is quite mixed, therefore careful examination is recommended; a worthwhile lot for the collector or dealer willing to take the time to extract the value from this lot.
