715 c Sieger #22A imageSieger #22A, 1928 Return of the America Flight, specially prepared Roessler printed cacheted view card for this flight, with four adhesives tied by "Lakehurst, N.J./Oct. 28, 1928" duplex, one is the notorious "Graf/Zeppelin" overprint that Roessler applied to some 1c Green regular issues in disgust because the U.S. Post Office had not appropriately commemorated the Graf Zeppelin's flight to America, his efforts nearly landed him in jail for fraudulently issuing a "U.S." postage stamp, purple flight cachet, Friedrichshafen transit and Zweisimmen, Switzerland backstamp where addressed, faint bend to card, otherwise very fine; this unauthorized overprint is very scarce used on a flown cover (mentioned but not priced in Sieger; Michel #8A).
