1786 nhbl Unitrade #208iv imageUnitrade #208iv, 1934 3c Jacques Cartier, wide gutter strip of four, mint block of eight with two strips of this variety, the gutter between the two blocks of four is 5mm wide instead of the normal 3mm between stamps and is perforated, o.g., n.h., very fine; nearly all the sheets of this issue were guillotined between the two panes resulting in straight edges, but the Post Office Department had decided that they did not want any more straight edges so about 1,000 sheets were perforated in the gutter, when it was realized that the gutter was larger, nearly all the sheets were divided into the two panes, but about 50 sheets were sold intact making a possible 500 gutter pairs, much less than that exist today; this variety is normally collected in horizontal strips of four to show the two spacings between the stamps; a very rare variety that is seldom encountered.
