Allen in Honolulu, stamp has minor diagonal crease at lower left, small piece of backflap missing VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A SCARCE COVER WITH THE HAWAIIAN 1860 2-CENT BLACK ON GRAYISH NUMERAL TIED BY THE "POSTAGE PAID" OVAL. With original letter from Mrs. T. Harris Marshall datelined "Grove Farm, Lihue, Kauai, August 8th 1860", congratulating Mrs. Allen on the birth of her baby.
