Buchanan in Waynesburg P.O. Pa., "San Francisco Cal. May 6" double-circle datestamp, slightly reduced at right

VERY FINE COVER. AN ATTRACTIVE AND SCARCE MIXED FRANKING WITH THE 1865 5-CENT "INTERISLAND" NUMERAL AND THE UNITED STATES 5-CENT 1863 ISSUE.

This cover was carried on the Bernice, which departed Honolulu on April 11, 1867, and arrived in San Francisco on May 5.
