35		3c Red, F. Grill (94). Tied by bold strike of Mortar and Pestle fancy cancel of Waterbury Conn. (Rohloff O-6), neat "Waterbury Ct. Jun. 14" (1869) circular datestamp on cover to Meriden Conn., barely reduced at top and missing part of top flap, stamp with toned spots VERY FINE STRIKE OF THIS RARE MORTAR AND PESTLE FANCY CANCEL OF WATERBURY. THIS IS THE FIRST OF THIS TYPE ON COVER WE HAVE OFFERED SINCE KEEPING COMPUTERIZED RECORDS. 36		3c Rose (65). Tied by well-struck Running Fox fancy cancel of Hockanum Conn., fox running to the right with rows of small squares above and below, "Hockanum Con. Dec. 17" circular datestamp on mourning cover to Westford Conn., perfs slightly in and shortish perf at left, cover slightly reduced at left EXTREMELY FINE STRIKE OF THE HOCKANUM RUNNING FOX FANCY CANCEL, ONE OF THE RAREST OF ALL 1861 ISSUE ERA FANCY CANCELLATIONS. A history of the fascinating Hockanum Running Fox cancel, written by Connecticut postal historian William J.
