617 c   Civil War correspondence to a Union soldier who was sergeant in the Massachusetts 2nd Regiment, most are from his mother, but also includes some other relatives, the letters are accompanied by covers which are mostly postmarked Bridgewater or Duxbury, Mass. and addressed to North Carolina, all in 1863 or 1864, franked with the 3c Rose (#65), the letters touch on a wide range of subjects, fine.
